At the end of my workouts I’ve started visiting the sauna, turning on a relaxing song, lying down, and closing my eyes. At first I wasn’t trying to meditate, but I’ve found that I end up in the deepest meditative state I’ve ever been able to achieve! I am able to completely clear and free my mind—something I have difficulty with when meditating at home. I wander. When I do my post-workout sauna meditation, I am able to relax and focus in a way that I’m never otherwise able. It’s incredible!
I’m going to try finding other places and conditions that are conducive to meditation. I think trying in my living room has been unsuccessful(ish) because it’s just not the right place nor situation!
