new semester

Got my calculus grade… 95% woohooooo! couldn’t be happier! that wasn’t at all what I expected. Though the exam went well, I thought I would’ve gotten around a high 80 or low 90, but mid is pretty sweet :)

And now I’m officially about a week into the new semester. I’m taking 6 courses, and the goal is to stay on top of my game so I spent a good part of the weekend studying… I also went out, so I’m balancing the two pretty decently … so far :)

Calculus

I’m standing at about a 94% going into the final exam. Pretty sweet. (:

Calc (:

Nothing below an 87 so far. I’m hoping I can still say that after Project 1 is marked.

Quitting...

Everyone tells me that I take on too much. Last semester, I was taking 7 courses and a lab instead of the standard 5, in three extracurriculars, on a sports team and holding a part-time job.

It’s just what I’ve always been used to.. getting really involved. And even in being a part of all that stuff, I still was very close to making Dean’s List. (:

For next semester though, I’m going to try a new approach. I’m going to drop the part-time job since now I’ll be getting co-op jobs in my field in the future. I’m also going to avoid joining so many extracurriculars and maybe stick to just one big project instead of a few. I want to experiment with this because even though I think I’m doing alright academically being super involved, maybe it’ll be better if I’m not AS involved. These next few semester are crucial in determining my future in medicine. No room for messing it up.

it's gonna be a challenge

I’m on co-op for the semester so I’m only taking two courses alongside a full-time job. I get home from work in the evening and by then, I’m so tired that all I want to do is shower, eat and then sleep. My school work gets put off till the weekends. I think that’s a bad thing because for one of the courses, I’ve been told that you need to review at least every other day to be able to do well. I don’t know how to motivate myself to focus on it more during the week :/.
