bold = favourites of 2009! :)

"thank you for playing and goodnight"

85.) The Dead Girls’ Dance by Rachel Caine
86.) Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine

Well I didn’t quite manage 100, but I’m pretty happy with 86, and I couldn’t have ended the year with better books – this series is awesome!

"ran fast, mourn later"

84.) Glass Houses by Rachel Caine (I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and it was quite refreshing to read a book where the main female character didn’t fall madly and deeply in love with the elusive and mysterious vampire character – loved it! And the cover is so so pretty! :))

"the unknowabilty of other people"

83.) An Education by Lynn Barber (I’m not one for non-fiction nor biographies, but I did enjoy this one quite a bit, although, I’m pissed that I spent £8 on a book with less than 200 pages, =/ oh well, the cover’s pretty as least :) – oh and I really, really want to watch the film version of it now – the trailors look lovely!)

the fools run amok

82.) Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (OMG!!!! I absolutely loved this book – I was up till 5 am reading it and was so pissed that I had to sleep for uni the next day, but as soon as my practical was over I hid in my friend’s flat and finished the book – and oh my, what a book! Sooo amazing!! I loved the whole Fallen Angels idea (I’ve been hooked on Angels since the Mortal Instruments books) – super epic! And ::swoon:: Patch – so freaking hot!! >.< :D! I’m sooo happy that there’s going to be a sequel to this book – can’t wait till next year!! And to top it all off – the cover is just so sooo pretty – I love it, I’m glad I own a copy!! I would so give this book a triple A* – it was that good! ^ – ^)

"violence: it's all the rage"

81.) Crazy Beautiful by Lauren Baratz-Logsted (realy liked it – a lovely take on Beauty and the Beast :))

"who said the devil was a he?"

80.) Another Faust by Daniel and Dina Nayeri (Other than the ending (which didn’t answer any of my questions – who was Madame Vileroy? What was she about? What happened to the children? etc…) I rather enjoyed this book – it was a lovely and refreshing take on the Faustian bargain, and Bice was just lovely. I’m glad I bought it ^ – ^)

disillusioned charity

79.) Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz (yay!! I finally read the latest Alex Rider book, and I loved it (a huge improvement from Snakehead :D), and even though my friends mocked me endlessly for reading a children’s book I still enjoyed it!! awesome ^ – ^)

(in)sane

78.) Speaking of Love by Angela Young (beautiful book – especially Iris’s short stories – they were magical :))

forever

77.) A Bad Boy Can Be Good for a Girl by Tanya Lee Stone (I started this book last night, just before bed and surprisingly finished it in just one hour – it was a really good book, and I’m so glad Josie, Nicolette, Aviva and all those other girls found their voices in the end :))
