Learn Ruby

My course at uni has forced me to attempt to learn Java this semester, which reminded me about my actual desire to learn Ruby. So, once this java stuff is done, I’ll move on to learning Ruby over the summer.

I like pretty things. I love jewellery. I kinda like programming as well. Naturally, a programming language named after a gemstone is highly irresistible to me.

This Thing is inextricably linked to this one. However they’re not necessarily dependent upon each other. I could easily finish Why’s guide without learning a thing (although I will make sure that I don’t), and I could just as easily learn Ruby without Why. I don’t want to though.

Ultimately, I will consider this Thing finished when I can write a functioning Ruby program (aside from and slightly more complex than “Hello World”, obviously).
