have no debt

even though I’m not working (ok, it’s been 3 weeks, and by choice) ... we have managed to pay off a large chunk of the wedding this fall, my visa is at $0, I payed off my computer, and we have $$ in our savings to top up what I’m not getting from EI. Thank goodness for such a great social system – thanks Service Canada! Oh, and thanks to the inlaws, for they sent a lovely gift of $$ to help with the wedding. How great is that?

I’m somehow managing to actually budget this wedding well, and still manage to pay off my bills.

I need to do my taxes – big refund!

We’re watching week 2 of Oprah’s Debt Diet as we speak! I’m happy that we are nowhere near the destitute level, but it’s never to early to start! My debt level is very reasonable, but we want to be sure we maximize the money we make so we don’t eat catfood when we retire in 30 years. Being financially responsible is very comforting.
