do well in school

Grades were posted today. No real surprises.

Intro to Psych – I got a freaking 60 on the final so I got a B in the class. I would have done better on the final if it hadn’t only been 15 questions long. I mean seriously… stupidest thing ever.
Art History – D. No surprises since I pretty much only made Ds on the tests.
Algebra – Well… despite retaking 2 tests (he wouldn’t let me retake all 3) and doing all the homework and going to class and going to extra lessons and doing lots of practice problems I got a flipping D. Thank god it is my only math class I have to take.
3-D Design – I was really off on this one. I thought I was going to get a B but got a C instead. Cause my last couple of projects didn’t go so well. Oh well.
ComDes II – B. No surprise there. Because I didn’t put much effort into my projects. And he said that since it was his last semester teaching no one was going to get lower than a B. I really needed an A… but I guess I will just have to work my ass off to get As in my next two ComDes classes next semester.

Going to summer school. Am determined to get As to make up for such a crappy semester. Am taking Functions of American Government and Philosophy.

So. The semester is at an end. Or close to one. And I haven’t written much about my classes.

Intro to Psych – My grade can go any which way at this point. We’ve only had one test. Which I got a B on. So depending on how I do on the next test and the final I could either get an A or fail. Who knows. But I’m really shooting for an A.
Art History – This class is killing me and my GPA. I’ve got a D in it. And since we are running so far behind we aren’t going to have 6 tests like planned. So I only have 2 more tests to bring up my grade.
Algebra – I’m doing the homework, I’m going to class. I just really suck at math. My other D class that I really need to raise my grade. We’ve got one more test and then a final. And I think we can retake one or two tests so I’m planning on doing that. I think this can be raised to a C or a B depending on how well I do on the rest of the homework and tests.
3-D Design – This class seems to be going well. I think I’m going to get an A or B.
ComDes II – I honestly have no clue when it comes to this class because we haven’t gotten our first project back. Well, we’re supposed to get it tonight. Hopefully it will be an A. I really need an A.

So. Classes have started. Things are well, I suppose.

Intro to Psych – Much with the interesting! Loads of extra credit. Should be good/okay.
Art History – HORRIBLE. I HATE IT. IT NEEDS TO DIE. But I need it for my major. So must suck it up and deal.
College Algebra – Horrible. I have so many issues with this class. Because people are stupid and are obsessed with Windows and are all like shuns the mac community. Needless to say I have had to go all around campus trying to find a freaking public computer that has administrative rights so I can install shit to do the fucking homework.
3-D Design – Should be interesting. Have it with one of my suite mates. Lots of interesting projects.
ComDes II – Haven’t actually been to a class yet. We didn’t have class last week because the professor didn’t have a key to get into the room. So he canceled class. But it should be good, yeah? It should be awesome. I think so.

The new semester starts tomorrow. Bring it on! I’m ready to kick so ass.

This semester has gone down the crapper. I am not going to get a single A. All my grades are going to be Bs or Cs and a D depending on how I did on my government exam.

ComDes – I redid all of my projects. Am shooting for a B. I don’t know if I’ll get it though.

American Lit – I screwed up and got a 60 on the last test. So I am probably getting a B in this class. Well, it depends on how I do on the last test/exam. So I could possibly do poorly. HOPEFULLY I’ll get a B.

Government – Depending on how I did on my exam. Either a D or a C.

Art History – I had a solid B in the class. But I fucked up the final. I studied more for government because I needed a really good grade on that exam. So I did poorly on this exam and now have a 76.4. FUCK.

My parents are going to be so disappointed/pissed off. I can’t even believe that I did this poorly. I’m so upset with myself. I’m going to kick my ass in gear for next semester. This fucking BLOWS.

Right. So. I am doing… okay-ish.

ComDes – I have a solid C in the class. I’ve gotten high 70s on all of my projects thus far. Have to get a B though or else I have to retake it for my major.

American Lit – I got a 92 on the first test! Which was really, really exciting because the class average was a D. And I got an 80 on the second test because I skipped too much and didn’t know some of the material.

Photo – Is currently at a B.

American Government – The class that is kicking my ass. I have a D in here right now. It is really not cool.

Art History – Currently a B. Hoping to get an A on the test next week.

Overall doing decent. But my grades need to be better.

So I went to summer school… Took 3 classes.

Color Theory – C

UGH. HORRIBLE. I should have gotten an A in weightlifting. But he was all like, counts my lowest quiz grade. And color theory was just hard. Because my professor was crazy.

Art History – Ancient to Medieval Art

It has been a rough beginning of the semester. I failed the first art history quiz (luckily he is dropping the lowest quiz grade, so I have to do well on all the others). And I am swamped with tests and projects. It is crazy!

But my “outstanding academic achievement” has earned me the ability to rush a national co-ed honors fraternity! So I am.

I got an email from my English professor telling me the grades I got on my last assignments since I had to leave school early and couldn’t go to the last class. So I decided to check my grades.

I am really disappointed in myself. Like, I shouldn’t be… because this is the best I’ve done in school in a REALLY long time.

English – A
Drawing – A
History – B
Woman Studies – B
Painting – B

So this semester’s GPA is a 3.4… And my cumulative GPA is a 3.29. I don’t know if this goal is complete yet or not.

For the semester my I-know-for-sure grades are:
Woman Studies – B
Drawing – A

I am pretty sure I will get an A in painting. I need to get an 84 on my history exam to get an A. And hopefully I did well enough on my last two English assignments that it’ll get me an A.

I am pretty sure that I’m making the dean’s list this semester! I’d really have to mess something up to not…

I have an A in drawing thus far! Yay me!
