Get drivers license

My road test is booked for Thursday the 24th. Dont really feel ready and am really not ready if they ask me to go on the highway but I just want to get the f*&%ing thing over with! It has been holding me back for so long now!

Thats right, I start drivers education in about two weeks … Im going to be in a room full of teenagers trying to get over my fear of being behind the wheel while my mother babysitts my 4 month old and brings him in during my lunch so I can breast feed!! It will be worth it, Im looking forward to the independance and freedom!

My boyfriend came home lastnight and said that if we couldnt find anyone to lend us a car for me to practice on, we will go ahead and buy one that will be mine after I get my licence! Wootwoot! So excited! Now, to research what kind to get!!

27 years old and no drivers license. Was in a nasty car accident at a young age and I think it scared me deeply. For the longest time I was fine with asking my friends for rides and taking the bus but …. something happened …. and now I want more freedom and mobility! I am tired of relying on other people to drive me when I need to get something done!

Last year I got my beginners and, over the last year, I have been doing a bit of driving here and there. However, I have to write my test in October so I have to put a real push on to learn. The only vehicle I have to practice with (other than my parents and they live an hour and a half away) is my boyfriend’s giant truck. I just cannot learn to drive with this truck … it is too enormous.

So, I suppose the next step in me achieving this goal is to track down a smaller vehicle to practice with. Time to get to it.
