knit a jumper & socks

I really don’t think I’ll get to these any time soon. But just in case, here are the patterns I am thinking about.

Daisy – a cute little cardigan which I can hopefully get done in the largest size, in time for next winter.

Cut Your Teeth Socks – says it’s a good pattern for first-time sock knitters. I’ll give it a go… one day.

I’ve even managed to teach myself to knit in the round and make a Kittyville Hat. It’s time now to move on to something a little more complex. Perhaps I will knit a little jumper or cardigan for the babe (once I know whether I’m knitting for a boy or a girl). That way it’s small and if I get stuck, not such a pain to have to start again.

Socks, well, that’s another story. I’ve heard they’re tricky and I may need to go beyond the “teach yourself” methods I’ve been using. But I will knit socks one day, preferably stripey ones!
