I read this on an old needlepoint a long time ago, and I printed it out. It is in a prominent place in my kitchen, and it reminds me not to waste things.
One thing I do is to take the scouring pad things and cut them with scissors into 1/4’s. The pad still works just as well, and I’m not throwing out a whole one when it gets yucky. When I pump my gas, I tip the whole hose way up so it drains into my tank, instead of staying in the hose and dripping onto the ground when I pull it out. Small things, but…
This proverb also reminds me to appreciate what I have, because I live like a queen compared to some people, and I need to remember that.
