today i wasted a lot of time. i spent more than half of my day on the computer, sometimes writing, sometimes surfing the internet, sometimes designing a t-shirt, sometimes doing nothing at all.
what did i feel accomplished about today?
- i climbed a tree.
- i finished a lesson for my geography course.
- i figured out how to change my camera from color photos to black and white.
- i designed a t-shirt.
- i critiqued a person’s story.
- i took my dog for a walk.
what have you accomplished today?
peace out.
grow.
p.s. that’s the t-shirt i designed although it looks much better blown up.

well…
i really don’t have a desire to spend a lot of time wasting time on the internet. i’ve been away for a month in a foreign country and now that i’m back after taking 38 hours of travel, i just don’t want to waste time on the computer or watching endless amounts of tv.
maybe i’ll have the desire later, but not now. so. to keep myself away from temptation if it ever shows up, i will
spend more time writing
or sketching
or even painting
brainstorming
and mind mapping
exploring problems
and terrain
and not to mention my creative mind
maybe time will not be wasted.

And I haven’t wasted time yet. I’ve been in Bali - aren’t you jealous? - and you really can’t waste time. Sure, you can spend all day journaling and swimming, but also, that’s just time to revitalize yourself for a two-hour hike through rice fields the next day. No TV, computer only when you pay for it; it’s great.
Hoping to go for the entire month without wasting time. Think I can do it?
I do.
Good night,
Grow.

Today my stomach was killing me so basically I sat around watching crappy television.
I’m doing some writing, so it wasn’t a complete waste, but…
Tomorrow I’m leaving for Bali and will be on a 26 hour flight. Hopefully I’ll do some writing and sketch a bit, maybe have a deep discussion or two with my friends and help one of them get out of a abusive relationship.
Good night.
Grow.
