I brought home my antique, blue velvet chaise lounge on Saturday!!

Got this one in green.

Getting closer!

I have a vintage blue chaise lounge on layaway with $100 left to pay, so I’ll be taking it home next week!

And I bought the picture above off eBay, and I’m off to frame it this weekend.
(can you tell I’m an anatomy geek?)

Yesterday I took some of our Christmas money and bought some interesting things…

Not really practical, but I’m really grooving on the idea of my home as a castle. And a prerequisite for castle-dom (in my book) is a space filled with some seriously weird stuff.

My husband and I moved into an adorable little house on Capitol Hill earlier this month, and while it’s cute, there’s a lot to be done:

Paint:
Living Room-Blue
TV Room-Green
Kitchen-Red backsplash, chalkboard wall
Bedroom-Red
Bathroom: Blue/gray or cream

Put vintage pinup wallpaper in mud room.

Buy a T.V.
Couch for TV room
Fainting couch and low asian-style table with cushions in the living toom
New comforter and a headboard for the bedroom.

Replace the cabinets and install hardwood floors in the living room and TV room.
Replace the trashed and dated linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom.
