I got rid of an old computer by selling it. The machine in question is actually not bad. It has an Asus P2B-S motherboard, a Pentium III cpu and half a gigabyte RAM. Happy to let it go. And the buyer seemed happy too.
A neighbour is setting up a Linux box for his daughter and needed some stuff. I gave him a graphics card and some RAM. Less clutter at my house, and he gave me a bottle of wine just to say thanks.
The last time we moved i threw away 10 pre pentium II class computers. But I will never part with my Sparcstations, SGI Origin 200s and Digital Alpha AXP server.
