I’m going to join the co-op, and they let you work 2 hrs per week for minimum wage- that’s about fifty bucks a month to offset the extra cost of locally grown food.

This seems easy, but it really is pretty complicated, at least for me. I could join a CSA, but that is pretty expensive, and although having the veggies on auto-delivery would “force” us to eat them, I suspect that if we got a basket of veggies we wouldn’t normally eat, they would get composted.
Another option is to go to the farmer’s market every Saturday. In a perfect world, I would ride my bicycle to the farmer’s market, pick a basket full of veggies for the coming week…. but reality is that I am almost always busy on Saturday mornings.
Another option is a garden…
