I don’t know why, but yesterday, I didn’t clean up after dinner.
Well, I do know why- because the Sopranos was on…
I digress…
This morning, the kitchen was messy, and it made me feel kinda defeated…
One day? I slack off for one day, and look at the mess. discouraging.

for the past 4 or 5 days, I have done dishes at least once a day. This represents a major shift in my kitchen paradigm. I don’t know what paradigm means, exactly… but my kitchen is cleaner.
Here is what I want to get done-
dishes
bed made
laundry
living room picked up, vac
dr table clean and clear
maybe I will time myself…
I have a new goal to have a simple, peaceful, organized, functional home. Therefore, I will have less clutter, less crap, less stuff to leave out or put away…..
hopefully…..
sheesh- it never stops! The house gets clean, then it gets dirty again! In order to keep it tidy, one has to be in a near constant state of cleaning the house.
Maybe I will get it clean, then move to a tent in the back yard.
I’ve let the house get out of hand, so today I will make an effort to:
finish up all the dishes
clear off the kitchen table
vaccuum
put “stuff” away
clean the bathroom
make a dent in the laundry
I better get busy!
What does “better housekeeper” mean?
hmmm…
dirty dishes may not occupy the sink after the next meal.
rug vaccuumed weekly
floors swept twice weekly
mail sorted daily
laundry washed twice weekly, put away same day
bed made daily
general straightening up done daily
kitchen table cleared at least daily
ugh. Maybe I’m happy being a less than stellar housekeeper. That looks like a lot of work!
