my big dogs in the back yard make a traditional garden nearly impossible. So, I am thinking of:
planting rhubarb in the front
zucchini on the side of the house
tomatoes in pots
herbs in pots
and maybe I’ll try a cucumber somewhere.

My husband brought home materials to make a fence. He is working on it today. yay!
The best place for a garden is in the back yard, but we have two big dogs back there, and we would need to find a way to keep them out of the garden. a visual barrier will probably be okay- but I am too cheap (or poor, depending on how you look at it) to go buy a fence. So I will keep my eyes open for materials to recycle into a fence.
The, I want to plant zuchinni, nasturtiums, tomatoes, onion, herbs, beans, peas, broccoli, a pumpkin…
It’s thrilling just to think about it.
