oh the crazy show is good today! I am trying really really hard to be amused and not annoyed. The other hard part is hiding my amusement.
Some day I should write a book.

the thing that sucks about this show is.... 2 years ago

It’s always reruns.

Today's episode: The Crazy has Ears 2 years ago

Crazy can not help herself, she must eavesdrop. It is evidently written into her genetic code. As soon as she catches a whiff of a personal, or interesting business call for me, she finds reason to hover near my workspace- or, if she can’t fabricate a reason, she just stands nearby and watches me talk on the phone, occasionally throwing out comments about my conversation.
Many people might find this behavior irritating, but not me. I find it hilarious! The Crazy Show is a laugh a minute.

I fyou can’t say anything nice, don’t say it at all, right? So, here I sit, day after day, quiet as a mouse. I answer questions as they are asked with the minimum amount of information necessary. I conceal or withhold information about my personal life.
Why? Because Crazy is also a nosy copycat. I buy a car, she buys the same car. My kid goes to xt school, her kid goes to xt school. I start a sport, she shows interest in starting the sport.
Now I know the imitation is the sincerest form of flattery- but too much imitation feels icky.
Today, Crazy wanted to know what my problem is. Am I mad at her?
(Of course she assumes it’s about her… but wait, it is)
I just tell her no. Maybe I should have been honest. If she asks again, maybe I will- but here is the thing- nothing I say or do will change her behavior, so why say anything?
Why not just sit back and enjoy the show?

When I say other people.... 2 years ago

I mean one person in particular. my co worker. She drives me absolutely bonkers- I am going to have to learn to just laugh at her behind her back or something. Being grumpy all the time doesn’t seem to be working- it just makes me grumpy, and doesn’t make her any less annoying.
Here is what I am going to have to learn to laugh at:
*She constantly talks, but not necessarily directly to me. She just says things aloud. and I do mean constantly. Sometimes I am supposed to pay attention, sometimes she is just talking to herself. She has no internal monologue.
*She is a huge narcissist. She will ask me questions just so she can give me HER answer. She relates every news story to her life. She can’t look at things from any other perspective than her own.
*She is nosy. she read my email once, and admitted to it. Since then, I tell her as little as possible about my life outside work. I am still holding a grudge about that. So, now that I don’t tell her anything, she eavesdrops and is generally snoopy.

so, ha ha ha, I have got a real laugh riot in front of me.
