Learn to play keyboard

Well.. I’m still busy practicing. I could write an entire article about my experiences so far, but instead I thought I’d share my rendition of ‘Mary Had A Little Lamb’ here.

On Saturday I tinkled with a piece of music. My rendition of Frére Jacques can be heard here – be very gentle with me please.

I’ve started to learn to play the keyboard, music is such an inspiration for me, I absolutely love it! I’m armed with a Korg MicroKontrol keyboard and some professional ‘Event Studio Precision 8’ monitor speakers that wouldn’t look out of place in a studio – that is a studio owned by someone who knew what they were doing.

I don’t want to be famous, nor do I want to become filthy rich. This entire experience is about learning, developing my musical talents and sharing these experiences, knowledge and outcome good or bad with like minded people.

My primary goal is to improve year on year so that I become more confident understanding music as well as playing it, so I eventually reach a point when I either inspire others to play and / or can improvise / add original content to my own music production. My first step is to go through the book ‘Step One – teach yourself Keyboard’.
