Start my own business

My husband and I are definitely in the business. We have already purchased the inventor worth $5,000. Taking the bill, I asked my husband, “So, this is the direction we are going, right?” He laughed, “Yah!”

My husband admired my late father in law very much, who according to the family legend, put a straw on an old vehicle and tried to sell it to the neighbor at age 5. The other day, I asked my husband: “Do you think that you’ve got the selling gene of your father?” “Oh, no!” But I saw my husband changing. A shy person, he has now started calling people and asked their help sell our inventory. A small step, but a big progress for my husband. I am very proud of him. I think he’s got the talent of knowing what will sell and what will not.

My husband and I are planning to start online stores on eBay. We don’t know how everything will work out yet. However, this is going to be the first venture of our own, our first baby. We love it.. :)

I saw a need for a WORKING vending machine or a small convenient center in my office building. The opportunity is right there. I heard from the security that the two existing vending machine were broken because of the over-use. However, there are hurdles to jump over. First off, would the landlord and the owner of the existing vending machines allow me to set up a new vending machine? Also, which one is easier, to run a small convenient center or a vending machine? hmm.. I don’t want to just stop wit an idea. I want to see its fruition..

Today I discussed my ideas of building energy-saving houses with a friend. He’s polite. But he is right, we do not have the connections we need to launch the business. Sigh. I guess all we need is more helpful, and there is a will, there is a way. I will just need to find people who are supportive of such ideas. :)

It’s time for me to take the big step and launch my business so that I can take it to the next level. Oh, ok, I know what to do now. I can use the template and calculate the first year’s operation costs first so that I know my profit margin.. :)

I dreamed of a dialogue between two men one day about whether one should succeed for himself or for other people. The man who had been trying to succeed for other people seemed to be lost without finding satisfaction in all his hard work. He was tired and became resentful of the fact that he made all sacrifices without even knowing why he wanted to succeed. He only knew that he was expected to succeed; otherwise, he would lose his place in this world. Because of this dream, I have found a new angle of understanding entrepreneurship and finding my goals, values, and motivations. Entrepreneurship is, to me, an expression of my being, not my doing. Who am I? I’ve found out that my motivation to get up everyday does not come from a picture of success; but from the knowledge that I am a being of happiness, abundance, expansion, beauty, love, and creativity. I’m already this being without approval from anybody or doing anything. Everyday, I simply need to ask myself “What is one simple thing I can do so that I can express this being in this world?” Miraculously, when I shift my thinking to entrepreneurship, and life at large, as an expression of my being, I am no longer resentful of the sacrifices, heavy load, or long-term commitment required of entrepreneurship. I don’t see them as burdens or hardship any more. Instead I’m already immersed in everything I do because my choices are in line with the intention of my being: to love and enjoy creation of abundance out of infinite possibilities every moment.

Need a business plan. I’ve already started on freelancing and built word-of-mouth referrals. hmmm. Let’s see. I’ve got to take actions this coming week.
