rarely do we manage to have a meal together during the week – someone arrives earlier, someone later, some only past 4 p.m. or even later – and it’s the same in the evening.
Therefore it’s important to have family reunions at weekends.

both our children will spend a week or even two without the rest of the family – this will be another step towards their independence.
And we – the parents – have to test our ability to release them.

So amazing. I could have spent the whole day there.

a dedicated football player – or rather: I used to be.
So my son thought football a great sport, too.
He started going to football training. But it became obvious: it’s not his cup of tea. He played, but without enthusiasm, and more and more he wasn’t nominated for the matches any longer.
Sometimes it was a fight for him to go to training.
A fortnight ago, as he was again not really keen on setting off for training, we decided that he could terminate it. And do something else, which suits him better. Not necessarily sports, but something practical which he can share with like-minded boys and girls. We’ll see what the outcome will be.

Children are supposed to have their boots filled with all sorts of smallish presents and oranges, nuts and some cookies.
I watched my two kids unwrapping their presents – it was awesome. They were both so grateful.
