I’ve lost 5 lbs. That’s not very much, but then I’ve also been extraordinarily lazy lately and haven’t actually attemped anything. If anything I’ve misbehaved, as we just had a baby, which means people bring you food for a couple of weeks, which means eating junk. So if I can lose a little under those circumstances, I’m hoping for a big boost if I actually put some effort into this.
I find it humorous that one of the ads on the screen right now reads “Dr. Nick lost 267 pounds in 1 year without surgery”.
Hi everybody!

I am very uncomfortable with myself. I was never particularly fat all through my life, and all of a sudden I completely balloonned over the course of a year about 3-4 years ago. Last year I had a vague goal to “lose weight” which I guess I accomplished since I lost 25 pounds (which I’ve kept off for 8 months now) but I’m still obese, and I hate it. It’s the one thing I want to change more than anything. So, here…I’m committing…I want to specifically lose 100 pounds from the point I am now (314). I am 6’5”, and 210 would be a pretty satisfactory weight for me, as tall as I am. I’ll post progress as the year goes on.
