be a good wife

when I was officially his wife…I am now ♥ and I think I’m a damn good wife! I never would have made it to be his wife if I wasn’t good at something lol (nothing dirty of course) lol but its been 1 month of officially being married & I think I can check this once “given up” goal as done!

just putting this in the “give up” section until I am officially his wife. :) At that point this will be an active goal again. This also clears room for other goals.

I just don’t have the paper to make it official. I am a good wife type person. I think I am. I think he thinks I am too. It’s now been 7 years for us this past Feb…we are good. we are happy…I can’t complain. Do I even need that paper? Yes. But not to feel validated as “his wife” I know I am that to him already. It doesn’t have to be in writing. But it would be nice. If anything so I can get his butt covered under my insurance plans & we can save some extra money. I always tease him & say he cant pick up dangerous hobbies since he doesn’t have the life insurance coverage yet…but it’s sorta half true. God forbid…blah no more thoughts on that. Heroes is on.

I guess it depends more on the couple. I dont think there’s a woman out there who says she wants to get married & be a “bad” wife…but still. What makes a good wife? I have my views… & my limits. My ex had his views about what made a good wife & I didnt agree with it so he is now my ex. LOL Being barefoot & pregnant cooking his meals, cleaning his house & tending to his 6 kids not really 6 kids was not my ideal life. But there are men out there who see that as being a “good wife”. But shouldnt there be more to it? Shouldnt the wife be happy too? Shouldnt she work if she wants to? Shouldnt she be able to decide if she wants more kids or not & how many she wants? I think so. Having my own mind, wants & needs shouldnt make me a bad wife. I hope it doesnt in his eyes.
