.... finding cheap things that still allow me to eat a variety of foods, with good nutritional value. I’ve got eggs, those are easy. Peanut butter and jam sandwiches aren’t too obscenely expensive. Tuna may have mercury in it (supposedly), but it works fine with mayo on whole wheat bread. I’m cooking myself spinach on a semi-regular basis, though I read it’s more nutritious raw.

Good news: I’ve started carrying cash so I’m a little more hesitant about spending. I also got a bike rack out of the basement and figured out how to put it on the car, so even when I do take the car I can supplement with the bike.

How very human of me.

... I made my first trip to the grocery store by bike. I could only get the things that could survive the trip, but it’s a start on the road to spending less on gas. I also took some newspapers to recycle, and kind of ate it on the way there. My knee will probably hurt for a few days, but that which doesn’t kill me can only damage me, right?
