Especially the stuff I don’t really like. I think this means a lot of Eugene O’Neill. Blech!
I think the way to start is to decide how to go about reading all the plays I need to know to consider myself an expert in Western Drama. I have a few ideas to break the canon of western dramatic literature into easier, bite-size peices:
- genre
- period
- country
- playwright
- subject
- importance
- what else?
It’s a start anyway.
