identify 100 things that make me happy (besides money)

26. baking – I love every step, and having something delicious at the end!
27. gingerbread lattes at Costa at Christmas time
28. mochas at Black Medicine or The Out of the Blue Drill Hall anytime!
29. bookshops – who doesn’t love those?!
30. shopping – or precisely, the bit when you come home and just want to look at all your new purchases
31. art materials (mostly coloured paper, ribbons, wool, buttons)
32. listening to really unexpected music on my ipod while on a bus (eg cheesy old stuff or turbulant Romantic symphonies or dour folk songs)
33. good customer service. Friendly, helpful and informative. And polite!
34. having a cute waiter when you’re out for a meal!
35. chocolate… makes me too happy!
36. getting back home after being on holiday
37. giving money to charity
38. getting a haircut (which I don’t do often!) and feeling really glamerous!
39. dancing away to a great song in a nightclub with all your friends
40. dancing with Steven always feels as though we are the best dancers around!

43. the internet
44. being kissed on the cheek unexpectedly
45. being the same amount drunk as my friend Hannah – chaos!
46. finishing washing all the dirty dishes in the flat
47. really comfy hotel beds with soft clean sheets

49. getting photo comments/messages online
50. my “thank you” poster from the kids at the youth theatre company I musically directed! Never fails to put a smile on my face!

1. hearing church bells, specifically the ones at STAGs being rung.
2. seeing Shetland Transport vans – they remind me of home.
3. sunny days.
4. the sound of really heavy rain when you are indoors, warm and dry.
5. knitting – its calming, peaceful, and productive.
6. looking at beautiful photos on Flickr.
7. taking nice photos of friends – reminders of happy times.
8. having random phonecalls from my family and getting the local gossip.
9. having a bit of a tan – it doesn’t usually happen to me!
10. birdsong. Does not apply to seagulls.
11. smiling, giggly babies.
12. friendly pets – sooo cute!
13. getting a really good night’s sleep.
14. hearing a great new song on the radio for the first time.
15. playing a peice on the piano really well – very satisfying.
16. messing around on the piano and not caring that its rubbish!
17. the smell of chinese restuarants as you walk past.
18. daydreaming…
19. dancing around the kitchen to cheesy music.
20. being given really thoughtful gifts.
21. being bought dinner or a drink.
22. finding something you’d lost.
23. finishing a good book you’ve borrowed.
24. watching an old film that you’ve seen a thousand times.
25. libraries (although they do sometimes cost… late fines suck.)
