Well, I made it to lesson 15 before the trip to Greece. Althought I couldn’t speak it well, I did hear familiar words. I was able to be courteous (please, thank you, excuse me) which was met with looks of surprise followed by appreciation. One of the waiters at the hotel was amused when I counted to 10 for him in Greek.
Did I really need to learn Greek? Probably not. The majority of the people were able to understand, if not speak English. Everyone in Santorini spoke English, but not everyone in Athens.
So I will consider this task done!

I have the Pimsleur CD to learn to speak Greek. I have mastered lesson 1 and am working on the next lesson. It is quite a challenge!

We’re going to Greece on our honeymoon! I can’t wait! The pictures of Greece are so beautiful! We haven’t decided exactly where we want to go yet. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
So I bought a couple of learn to speak Greek CD’s and will be listening to them in the near future. I’ve taken Spanish and French, but Greek is just so different! Wish me luck!
