start a blog

Maybe I shouldn’t worry about this but how have others handled the comments on your blog? I realize not everyone will agree or even like what I write about but how do you handle the people out there who seem to hit the send button before they think?

Still haven’t done this yet. Though I have been reading other people’s blogs everyday. And I’ve read what eveyone else here has said about it good and bad. Nervous about the whole “comments” thing. I’ve read on a few sites where people are really hurt by others comments. Worried I don’t have a thick enough skin!

I’ve been playing around with the idea of starting a blog. Like others here one question is what do I write about? Or more to the point—will what I write about be interesting to others or is it just self indulgent navel gazing? And of course there’s the curse of the “comparing myself with others.” Blogs that I read regularly and enjoy are funny and personal and well written. Do I have what it takes? I know, I know only one way to find out isn’t there?
