OK, we’ve finally decided on the colour for the house! After trying more testpots than I’m willing to disclose, we settled on our original choice. Well worse, not even a choice, the current colour—less faded though.

Mark Bernstein’s got an interesting take on colour choice:
The doors in the hall were going to be maple sugar. The combination seemed good in theory, but it turns out upon further review that maple sugar doesn’t go particularly well with the bagel and the cream. We should have foreseen the difficulty, but we didn’t trust the metaphor.Don’t mix your metaphors when choosing paints ;-)
