Well I think the regular climbing has been helping this goal but now I have started cycling to work I think I will get there even sooner. This is the fourth day of the 26 mile-a-day cycling (13 miles there and 13 back) so I expect to see some weight loss soon. Yesterday I beat the average single journey time of 1 hour 14 minutes with a time of 1:08. Today I managed 1:04. Door to door this is faster than if I went by train and tube.
Also yesterday we went climbing and in the bouldering section I managed all the green, blue and three yellow routes! Not only did I manage to beat the one yellow that has been bugging me for a few weeks now, but I also then went on to do two more. Dare I try orange….

I’m climbing regularly and think this is helping. I’ll report back when I know it is.

I think this will be achieved if I can make climbing a regular exercise (which I fully intend to). I now have my own chalk bag and gripmaster (which will eventually enable me to climb using my little finger alone), many thanks to s0b and Juliet, so look forward to using these on Sunday.
