I scored a commission for a stencil art piece on canvas. It was a variation of my first stencil design. While I didn’t get paid in cash, I was shouted to a night out to a music/art event, including dinner, drinks! Also made some interesting contacts at the event. Considering how close to my next payday I am, it was a welcome turn of events as I would otherwise be sitting at home watching telly last night.
I’m building a collection of my own stencil designs. I’ve done one for myself and I’m doing 2 more as gifts for my mum and sister for their birthdays.
Melbourne is a wicked city to visit. A definite “must see” on any trip to Australia.
I’ll be blown if I know where the hell those photos got to! I had a nice little collection of stencil art that I found around Melbourne in about 2006. It was awesome, the stuff was everywhere. I went back about a year later and most of it was gone! Shame shame shame!
