Tonight after work…another trip to the dealer. Ford, this time. F-150 V-8. With a damned automatic transmission. I just cannot find an affordable truck with a stick shift. I give up, I need a truck now, I am getting tired of riding a motorcycle to work with morning temps in the 30s.

...and they said it’s time to complete this goal. I do wish they hadn’t shouted, a gentle reminder would have sufficed. But noooooo, instead they blow the Alfa’s head gasket, making it essential that I complete this goal by Monday. (sigh)
I’ve concluded it’s time to sell the Alfa and buy a truck. Actually, I’ve know this for a couple of years but I’ve resisted because the Alfa is so much fun to drive. If you’ve driven a two-seat convertible roadster, you know just what I mean. But I moved to the country, I live on a small ranch, and I need the carrying capacity I can get with a small truck. I’m tempted by the full-size models…the F-150, the Silverado, the Ram, the Titan, etc…but I’ll buy the mid-size. Probably a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon, but it will really depend on who offers the best incentives. Anyone out there with a recommendation? Something in a standard cab, manual 5 spd, A/C and a low-end CD. Just need something to haul supplies from the hardware store, and maybe haul the motorcycle from time to time. I don’t really need a 4X4 but I’m not automatically discounting one, either.
