And…it’s that time of year again!
I’m down fifteen pounds (yay!) and now the Holiday Season begins. I’m really going to try to be good this year. When I sat down with the nutritionist, it was amazing how often I was “treating” myself to various things. She pointed out to me that if you treat yourself all the freaking time, it’s not really a “treat,” is it?
She also pointed out the cheese lurks everywhere and that you can consume an amazing amount of calories just by going to Starbucks once or twice a day. Yikes!
Here’s hoping my holidays don’t turn into “open season” on bakery goods and hors d’ouevres!

I’m one pound OVER my “Oh my God” weight.
This is bad.

Ok, so in order to have this not be a “slippery” goal, I’m going to set the starting weight as my “oh my God” weight of 197. So, the goal weight, in other words, is 167.
Finishing the first week of the South Beach Diet, Phase 1 so we’ll see where that leaves me. I started out a little over 190 (but put this goal up when I was around my high weight).
I think my body wants to be about 187, and I think (and the BMI tables seem to agree) that this is just a tad too heavy.

Yay South Beach! Lost 13 lbs in Phase 1, but now am stuck (and backsliding a little) in Phase 2. Which, if I’m honest, isn’t so much Phase 2 as “How I Normally Ate Before But Without All The Carb Binging,” which isn’t really the same thing.
So the lower in fat plan (without cheating) starts at lunch today. Let’s get this train moving again!
