I've been doing this. — 2 years ago
I end up going for two walks a week. It is not as good as every day, but it is not the only workout I have been doing.

My supervising teacher walks with one of her neighbors every morning. But I consider myself fortunate if I get there with everything I need for all of my lesson plans. I will have to find a way to work into my evening routine.
And that seems like a good excuse for the fact that I have not walked in a while.
Friday: I went for a walk in the woods in Stockbridge, MA.
Saturday: my daughter and I both had horrible colds, so we did not very much of anything.
Sunday: Went for a half hour walk down by the Housatonic river. So beautiful.
Monday: I’m counting trick or treating as my walking. We were walking for over an hour, although I admit to stopping at many houses. The pain in my thighs seems to qualify this.
Tuesday: Didn’t walk.

How are you doing, my lovely teammates?
I loved being on a team with two great women for this goal, but in reality it was not as helpful as I had hoped. I didn’t lose any weight this way, and in the end my feet ended up hurting too much for me to feel healthy. I did complete the prevention 3 week body makeover. That was helpful and made me feel very strong. It does help me to be part of a program, not just on my own.
Purplefibremom and Justini, if you are still working on this I will support you, but I had to take it off of my list.
Not on the walking, on my pedometer. It got caught on a chair the other day when I was clearing the table and no longer works at all. I’m looking into the one Thejustini recommended. The old one still works as a clock, though.
Only made about 69% of goal last week, but did not even bother with pedometer for a couple of days. Am on a very different schedule than what I am used too, but will work out a routine. Probably things will feel comfortable right when it is time for things to change. Have been using pedometer as a watch, so there shouldn’t be a problem with my bringing it to camp in the future.
And yet I gained weight. Considering the fact that I probably undercounted for this it is very disappointing. I didn’t eat aanything different than what I usually do. I will give this 2 more weeks, and if I don’t see any progress I may try something different.
How my lovely teammates are doing with this.
Only did about 71%. But that was still probably more than I would have done if I hadn’t made this a goal. Saturday and Sunday I didn’t even wear my pedometer, so I put down that I walked 4,000 steps. (That’s a little bit less than I typically walk on days when I don’t actually go walking.)
So far I’m doing better this week, but my classes start on Monday. I’m wondering if that will add steps to my routine or make me more couch potatoish.
