The scones were pretty good though I think I need some more practice. Made a camembert an tomato tart, a lemon tart and a couple of leek and cheese quiches. All pretty good.

made some fairy cakes the other day – they tasted good but the shape wasn’t quite right. Well, I had fun baking, and guess I just need t keep practicing.

Tried this recipe for the first time at the weekend. (Something a kept from a magazine years ago). Although I liked the sound of the recipe, I was worried that the rosemary could be overpowering. It’s not. I really like the flavour. I didn’t get the texture quite right – the cake is a little dense in places. I’m putting that down to being out of practice with baking. It can’t be too bad – a colleague helped herself to a slice today and then came back for a second helping.
