I helped some people out on a forum by writing some JavaScript that fixed their problem. It was a small problem and easy enough to fix but it feels good anyway.

I’d recommend reading this page if you are considering learning to program.
Having given this very little time for a while, I’ve abandoned the book I was using and have started looking at Python as an introduction. There are some useful websites that use Python as an introduction to programming, so I can do all this for free at the moment. Ah, my favourite price.
From “learn a programming language” to “learn to program”.
This was ember’s suggestion and I have to admit it makes sense. I’ve got a book on this and I’m working my way through it.
