I kicked smoking to the curb March 10 2009. I’m so thankful I’m not addicted to smoking any more! “Woo Hoo”

“Smoking one pack a day, “is a 365 pack a year addiction”, and “a death sentence”!
“Break the addiction”!
As smokers, we learn early on to put up a mental wall of denial between our smoking habit and the harsh reality of the damage we’re inflicting on ourselves with every cigarette smoked.
We tell ourselves lies that allow us smoke with some level of comfort. We say we have time to quit…that cancer doesn’t run in our family…that we can quit any time we want to…that the bad things happen to other people. And because smoking is typically a slow killer, those lies support the framework of our wall of denial for years and years.
Eventually though, most smokers find that the wall begins to crumble, and bit by bit, smoking becomes a fearful, anxious activity. This is when most smokers start seriously thinking about how they might find a way to quit smoking for good.
A crucial step in the recovery process from nicotine addiction involves breaking through that wall of denial to put smoking in the proper light. We need to learn to see our cigarettes not as the friend or buddy we can’t live without, but as the horrific killers they truly are.
If you’re thinking that it’s time to quit smoking, or have just quit and need some motivation to keep going, get the book, “Easy Way To Stop Smoking,” by “Allen Carr”, to fuel the fire in your belly! That will help you beat your smoking habit, once and for all.
“Man”, there were time’s I didn’t know if I would make it!!!
Once you give in, and go back to smoking, Your brain totally work’s against you the next time you quit. ((“Big time”)) It’s harder to say “NO” to the cravings because Your mind thinks you will give in as soon as things get tough.
It say’s… “Oh, go ahead”… “Just have one”… You can always “quit again tomorrow”!!
Some day’s I don’t know “HOW” I made it!!
I quit drinking entirely for the first two months, (Beer and smoking go “all too well together”).
I should have quit drinking for a MINIMUM of “three” months.
Now I make sure I limit how many I have, so I don’t let my resolve get weak. I have to keep my eye on the ball, and keep “not smoking” top priority.
Allen Carr is right! I am a non smoker! “THANK YOU ALLEN CARR”!
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
Don’t accept your dog’s admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.
To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door – nose height.
Dear Dogs and Cats,
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR
and is not a racetrack.
Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn’t help because
I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open.
I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years—canine or feline attendance is not required.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat’s butt. I cannot stress this enough!
To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don’t.
2. If you don’t want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That’s why they call it “fur”niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better
than I like most people.
4. To you, it’s an animal. To me, he/she
is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn’t speak clearly.
Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less
2. Don’t ask for money all the time
3. Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don’t hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don’t smoke or drink
8. Don’t have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don’t want to wear your clothes
10. Don’t need a gazillion dollars for college, and…
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children
We (my dog and I) just completed the intermediate obedience training tonight (Feb 2006). I am so excited! The instructor asked if any one wanted to challenge her and her dog on the timed final course exam, and “we beat her, and her dog, by 2 seconds”! “My dog won every prize in the class”!!! I felt a little bad that none of the other dog’s won a prize, but we competed on a lot of level’s and she won them all! We are enrolled in the advanced class, and in 6 weeks she will be working as a Therapy dog!
My dog and I have now completed the advanced obedience class as well, and she is now a “CGC therapy dog”.(Canine good citizen) “I’m so proud of us”, her for being such a good dog, and me for being such a good “nonsmoker”! Ha ha
Quote from the side of the page…
“What a wonderful life I have”, I only wish I had realized it sooner!!! ~ Quit smoking “before” it’s too late!!!!!
