I’ve been doing this goal really well recently…
So, I have to write this essay on the russian revolution, its supposed to be like seven pages long, I think single spaced. Also, I have to research and write it in spanish. Its due in 2 months along with abunch of other essays. Anyway, I decided to start it this week, but now that I’ve set my mind to doing it I’ve begun to do other, smaller tasks that I’ve been too lazy to do before. Instead of writing my paper today, I’ve been doing other important tasks such as cleaning the kitchen (i bought new sponges) thoroughly, and reading the news in spanish to help with my language comprehension and pronuncion (i read out loud). All in all I’ve had a pretty productive day, which is an improvement in my currently very lazy lifestyle.

For all of those who suffer from the disease that is procrastination, the theory of structured procrastination an alternative apprach to the idea of maximizing your efficiency. It suggests that a person take on more responsibilities rather than less so they use one project as a way to put off another. That way a person who would naturally be a procrastinator actually begins to look like a person who gets a lot of things done.
For a more detailed and eloquent explanation of Sructured Procrastination read this essay by John Perry.
