Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

lovely afternoon Turkish lesson with T this afternoon

he is so wonderful, he teaches the things he calls me, Honey, dear, my angel. All three escape me right now. But I love to hear his voice speak Turkish he makes it sound like the most beautiful language. While I may not know any better Turkish today…our conversation defies all languages – our hearts speak and are in current with one another. We talk everyday…but its been 16 months now and we are so in tune…I love listening to his stories about us. barış dışarı
Peace out!

i still havent made any of my moms recipes

I’m too spoiled she makes then and brings them over for me…or invites me to have them or I’m too concerned about eating clean. But lately I have been cooking more…to make my week days easier and have good hearty and healthy food for the kids to eat before sports. I have been busy making meat pies, they are soo perfect and my mom never made meat pies so this is a recipe of my own that is good enough for the cookbook! I cant tell you how their made…i don’t follow a recipe…just wing it…

I actually followed the recipe for once....I dont do it very often

and yes low and behold it turned out very good. Probably because it called for so much butter on the vegetables, I wouldnt use that much!!! Everyone really liked it!

my favorite christmas present this year was

a book that my mom put together with all the family recipes that we love! So while technically I havent learned to make them I do have the insructions. So this goal is done…and i will follow through by making at least one of these dishes per month.

So I havent done anything on this yet - but the first step would be to at least

pick one and start! Its not that I want to cook everything she made, but I cant imagine life without her preserves…jam, relish, picked beets, pickles beans, spagetti sauce, lasagna…and others. These are the things I want my childern to be able to enjoy for a long time too! Thanks Mom your the best xoxo
