World Wise School

I’ve decided to join the world wise program offered by the Peace Corps. It connects currently serving volunteers with classrooms around the country. There is a monthly exchange of letters, which have the opportunity to broaden the students perspectives and allow them to be more aware of other cultures.
A colleague of mine has a daughter that will be entering first grade at an elementary school close by and it turns out, their special unit this year is on Kenya. Perfect! Hopefully i’ll be able to make a difference as I write letters to the classroom!
