take more fun vacations.

I just got back from Seattle where a good friend of mine got married. Boy, was it a blast!! I have never been to an Indian wedding before and it was fabulous!! Great food, great people, great customs! I didn’t want to come home…..I took many fun, beautiful photos and posted them already to my flickr page.

Most weddings are close to home but Suja moved quite a few years back. It’s been hard to keep in touch with her – she’s been so busy but I am glad that I reconnected in time to make it to her big day. I finally got to meet her family and just really had a great time. Thank you Seattle!! :o)

Okay, so Spain didn’t happen – too expensive!! In lieu – going on a vacation with Robert to Cancun, Mexico! Ya-hoo! I am excited! It should be a pretty nice time – it will definitely be nice to get away from the cold, rainy weather here in Portland. I need some sun. Then I need to book my trip to Hawaii for Lucy and Dave’s wedding. That will be in February and should be fun. It’s not like I’ll be there a long while but it will be fun and should be a fun event!

Anyhow, looking forward to the beautiful beaches, the sun and spending some away time with Robert. Also, we’re planning on visiting Chichen Itza which I’m really excited about!! More later!

I didn’t really go as many places last year as I had hoped but did take a few fun trips to the coast, went up to Seattle a few times with Robert where we hit Ikea on our way back. Went to the Skamania Lodge for a work function and that was a blast. This year I’ve been out and about more. Went to Chicago and visited Katherine and that was awesome! Visited back home just about a month ago and saw the whole family. Going to Seattle for a meeting in a few weeks. Planning on Spain around Labor Day and that should be so much fun – I’m really looking forward to it!

So I have been to San Diego and that was fun. Met up with some old friends and enjoyed time with Family. Have since been up to Seattle and next week – Las Vegas! Should be fun! I’m thinking twice about the Chicago trip. If I have enough miles maybe I will use those it just seems a waste to use miles for only a weekend trip. I don’t know just yet. I would still love to visit Guadalajara again in August especially since my grandmother just passed away last week and it would be great to see the family again. Spain – might be on hold – people are flaking out on us (what a surprise). We’ll see…....positive thinking! I hope Spain works out!

In the works are a trip to San Diego to visit the fam, Chicago in the summer and Spain in the fall. I am so excited and will keep following up on this until those trips are completed! :)
