read “light on yoga” by b.k.s. iyengar. begin learning the primary ashtanga series to provide structure and practice it alone, or with friends on scheduled days of the week. follow with potluck to make it a community tradition. go to any kind of yoga class that you like when you can afford it. make it your goal to be comfortable enough with your yoga strengths and weaknesses to travel to an established guru. there are many throughout the world, though they may not be near you. yoga is a privelege, a gift, a prayer and a blessing. it is also a science, a way of life, a preparation for yet unseen challenges.
