Grumble!

So the pool near my house only has ONE weekday session of baby learn to swim! One lousy session!! I was ready to register at 8:58 this morning and registration opened at 9:00. I didn’t get through in time and the classes were full by 9:07.

There is a pool in another city, about a 20 minute drive that has the same lessons. The time, day of week is a bit better but I hesitate because it’s a longer drive and because this pool has a huge theft problem – my husband had his socks stolen from there. His SOCKS! It’s not even in a sketchy part of town, it’s weird. Do I want to worry about having things stolen and taking care of a six month old at the same time? Not sure.

Diapers

Apparently to use the public pool you need to use “swim diapers”. Makes sense you wouldn’t want poop floating around with all the babies and kids. But all the stores near me don’t sell them, or don’t sell them yet.

I’m planning on registering for swim lessons at the end of the month, but it’s been bugging me that I can’t find the darned diapers. Anyways, today I went to a local kids store and found reusable, cloth swim diapers. They are super cute and were only $12. I can’t imagine a bag of disposable diapers would be cheaper. YAY me!

They are also made in Canada (where we live) and it feels good to support a national company. You can order them online at Kushiesonline.com
