I am going to count this goal as complete for the summer! We didn’t go to the zoo, but we went to Art in the Woods and saw all sorts of animals, hiked, had great food, etc. We went two days in a row- it was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Our summer over all has been great!

The game got rained out in the 5th inning, but we enjoyed ourselves. We had snacks, and bought a hoodie for him w/team logo, and when we came home and got dried off I made hot cocoa. We just got home from the Art in the Woods, too. What a great time! Beautiful day… lots to see and do. Made a rattle.

These are all that are left from what I hoped to do this summer with my boy and my husband(of course we can do other things, and some of the things are doable in fall). It’d be nice if we could accomplish all of them before September is here. Which, I think is very easy to do! We plan to go to a baseball game on Friday, and possibly the movies this weekend! So that would leave the zoo. More to come…

today we went on a pretty (for me) spontaneous picnic at a nearby park- the food was nothing fancy but there’s something fun and relaxing about eating on a blanket together outdoors. We even stopped and Jas got special drinks and cookies to go with our meal from the convenience store. We then blew bubbles from a soap bubble solution I made and I also made some wands out of wire to make some larger bubbles. Then we played on the playground for quite a while. And then we were pleasantly surprised by an ice cream truck in the parking lot, so we bought some ice creams and ate in the dugout! We ran around the bases and then we went home. It was a great day, and we’ll definitely do that more often- it’s such a well maintained, clean and inviting park… and plenty of room so even if there’s lots of other people there you don’t feel crowded. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect either!

we didn’t have time to see the pigs at the farm. He’ll see some eventually! shrug We can’t do it all.

weather permitting this weekend, maybe I’ll take him on a picnic.

We took him to his first real movie in a theater today complete with popcorn, dippin dots, swedish fish, and a drink. We saw ‘Pufu Panda’ as he calls it. :) It was a great time, and he did so well!

had fun making Rice Krispie treats- but he got bored quickly. He decided to go play in his play kitchen while I finished. We’ll try it again soon, I am sure.
