I want to improve on these, but hardly know where to begin.
I’ve asked hubby for help, but I want actual steps to take, ‘tasks’ to try.
The closest answer I could get from him was 1)Sing often, 2)try singing with him, and try to ‘outsing’ him as far as volume/projection goes.
He said my biggest things I need to work on are: projection, tone, and emoting. That gives me a starting point. But, this goal is hard to measure. If nothing else, I may have to resort to a vocal coach, but I’m leary of that. I don’t want to lose my ‘natural voice’ and become a cookie cutter singer. Maybe I can find some exercises online to try?
