finish my scrapbook

Next step: get everything out and try to gather materials needed
Deadline: I want this ALL done by 11/14.

I just bought some new pens, and plan to buy a kit full of embellishments (need this because we don’t have a lot of photos, so we need some visual interest!) from Sam’s Club.

Jason and I want to start working on the scrapbooks again—good rainy day activity! Maybe we can set up a cardtable to work on the scrapbooks and Drew can make a fort underneath, or sit next to us and play playdough or color/paint with water, etc.

I finished another page today, continued to organize, and have another page almost done. No matter what, we’re talking it with us to read together… I can’t wait until it’s complete. It DOES make it so much easier working on it in front of him…

I still have a ways to go, but I’m much more organized on it now. I have about 7 of 22 pages done.

I can work on this while hubby is gone today. I hope to get a lot done on it. That remains to be seen.

I don’t know if my hubby reads my posts, so I am going to be really vague here. But, I had some time in the house today by myself (a rarity) so I did make a little progress on this.

today I found and scanned some pictures that I’ll use in it.

that’s a good step in the right direction.

Okay, so it’s a little sad that this counts as progress, but it definitely does—I brought the scrapbook up from the basement today and stuck it in my craft closet with the rest of my scrapbooking supplies. I’d like to have it done by my husband’s birthday at the latest. That gives me 3 months… more than enough time!

I have been working on one for my husband for years (since before he was my husband!) of our early years of dating. What’s holding me back is my stupid perfectionistic attitude- if I can’t do a perfect job on it, don’t do it. Well, I think he will love it for what it is. And so far, I have to say, it looks pretty nice. So, I vow to push through my stupid perfectionism and work on it until it is finally done!! I’d love to finally give it to him.
