go on adventures in Pittsburgh

I feel like now that I’ve left the city there isn’t much more opportunity to explore Pittsburgh. There seems like there’s still a lot to see, so hopefully I can visit soon.

I’ve checked off two more things I wanted to do in Pittsburgh: Hot Dogma and a movie at Flagstaff Hill. Hot Dogma is this hotdog shop downtown that’s in a church. I was told it was blasphemous, but now it just seems like the money might be going to a cult. The hotdogs were okay (I got a buffalo dog, which was an interesting twist), but not worth a trip downtown (unless you are there already).

And going to a movie at the park was something I’ve been wanting to do since last summer. As long as you don’t might people almost getting arrested for open containers, and loud little kids, a free movie is a free movie, and Flagstaff Hill is one of the only places that provides a nice view of Oakland (besides the Cathedral, clearly).

I have made a list of all sorts of places that I want to go in Pittsburgh before I move, and I keep adding to it. This past weekend I tried two new places I had never been in Pittsburgh: 1) Bites and Brews (which has excellent pizza and a good beer selection) and 2) Taco Loco, a tasty taqueria on the South Side. I have to get creative and hit up the free stuff on my list now because I am trying to save up money, but hooray for new things!
