Yet it’s one of the first things that I should be focusing on every day – at least before I go to sleep.
I generally need to listen to a guided meditation CD, such as “Eliminating Stress: Finding Inner Peace,” by Brian Weiss (my favourite, that I unfortunately can’t find), because my mind can be too busy. In the past, there are times when I’ve been able to reach a dreamy, relaxed state, in which I’m mostly aware of what’s going on around me, but it isn’t distracting. I’d eventually like to be able reach that state again, by myself.
