I’ve only just finished the third square (out of twenty), but it’s progress. I had expected to be at least halfway through by now. My tension is finally evening out and I sort of want to go back to start over with the first two, but I’m resisting the urge to do so.
The pattern I wanted to use in April, was much too difficult. We found this one in a book bought in a library sale, that we stopped in to, on a whim, about a month ago.

I finally started to make some progress on this panel for the afghan that I’m making for a friend, and what do I see as it’s growing longer, and the pattern is taking shape? Something I’d thought was the case, as I was getting ready to shape the fourth set of rows: certain parts of the pattern are out of line. :/
I was tempted to say “screw it” and keep going, since it has to be finished by mid-May (and I need to ship it somewhere), but I don’t think I can let that go – especially since it’s a present. It’ll drive me barmy, otherwise.
