Make new friends

I find myself being way too critical of new people I meet. I havent found anyone I like enough to be serious friends with. I think its down to the fact that my old best friends have let me down in so many ways. I dont know whether Im being too careful, I seem to stop myself being too close to people. I choose friends who are easy to get along with without getting too involved. I just feel I am way too involved with too many things and I have so much on my mind right now. I just cant seem to fit friends in. However I know this is important, and making friends gets harder as you get older so I am going to try to make more effort. :)
