Ideally I would like to drink half my bodyweight (in lbs.) of water (in oz.) every day. That’s a bit much to start out on, so I figure 96 ounces (3 full 32 ounce Nalgene bottles) would be a good start. The more water I drink, the higher my metabolism and energy level, the more fat I burn which will result in a reduction of body weight and a reduction in the amount of water I need to drink daily for optimum cellular function. I keep a 32 oz. bottle on my desk during my workday so ideally I can easily drink two of those before 5pm and only have to drink one more bottle at home before bedtime. I keep another bottle by the bed since I always wake up feeling a little dehydrated.
