I wish I had gotten started on this goal earlier. This Christmas really took a toll on my bank account, and I’m feeling quite poor now. Once I get through this holiday season, I’m going to attempt to start thinking about birthday/holiday/etc. gifts for the upcoming year. In 2008, I would like the majority of my gifts to be either handmade by me (in which case, I will have to develop some kind of craft skill) or handmade and purchased elsewhere. I frequently shop on Etsy for myself—this is a good opportunity to do it for my friends and family as well.
